Faccio pochi festival di fumetto all’anno.
Per fortuna gli ultimi che ho fatto (ma direi che non ricordo un festival deludente neanche prima) sono stati ottimi.
Dopo Colmar, nuovo viaggio in Alsazia per raggiungere la bellissima Strasburgo, insieme al mio compagno di avventure Gradimir Smudja, formidabile artista (nel senso migliore del termine) serbo trapiantato in Toscana.
Quello che ci ha colpito di Strasbulles è stato l’impressionante spiegamento di autori, non tanto per il loro numero quanto per la qualità media altissima. Se si pensa che contemporaneamente il festival di Amiens schierava Milo Manara e Juanjo Guarnido, l’organizzazione alsaziana ha fatto veramente un grande lavoro e poteva replicare con nomi del calibro di Régis Loisel, Tarquin, Arleston, Frank Pé, lo stesso Smudja, Morvan, Michel Plessix, Baru, David B., Terry Dodson e molti altri, magari (per ora) meno noti ma dalle grandi potenzialità e capacità, come Paul Salomoné (Delcourt), l’italiana Nora Moretti (Soleil) e Jean-Baptiste Andréae (Delcourt, tra gli altri).
La caratteristica forse unica delle sessioni di dediche a Strasburgo è che alcuni autori hanno a disposizione una grande tavola rotonda alla quale sedersi circondati dai lettori in attesa del loro disegno, cosa che favorisce un clima più rilassato e permette di parlare più facilmente e rispondere alle classiche domande sulle prossime uscite, la tecnica utilizzata etc.
Insomma, un’esperienza molto piacevole, grazie a tutta l’organizzazione e all’anno prossimo.
Adesso, però, me ne sto un po’ calmino a casa eh…

The ability to work from anywhere with an internet connection provides me with greater flexibility while traveling, whether it be to visit family, travel to watch my favorite sports on TV. I’m looking for this kind of flexibilty.
